ALBUM REVIEW from YEAH I KNOW IT SUCKS: If you expect that this is a release featuring the easy cheesy music you would hear normally in a elevator with build in micro speakers than we should recommend you to go and visit such a elevator instead as the elevator music here is rather of a different kind. The first track 'The Echolocation Ultrasound Blues' is a good example of hopefully being the opposite of music to be heard in a elevator as it sounds as if there is something wrong and that the elevator might drop down the building at any moment. But if you hear the music more from a distant it could be seen as the more technical sound of the hidden world of elevator techniques. Or perhaps it takes the best out of both these worlds as the high screeching sounds are nicely teamed up with what people indeed would perceive as music.

'Set The Controls For The Heart Of The Sun Ra' is even weirder, it is music that has the funky side of human fingers going for a keyboard solo while on speed and more of a slow industrial kind of sliding beat. It sounds like that part is done with sliding doors, electricity failure and molded gunshots. It’s experimental to say the least!

More of this fine weirdness comes in the third track which slams a drum, features some voiced samples but mostly gets the ears excited by prominent high noises that like to sing a bit hysterically with sometimes some additional flubber popping up.

Track four is named ‘Achtung! Achtung!’ and is compared to the others surprisingly more relaxed. There is definitely a nervous feeling over it with its soft rattling sounds and electronic bleep stuff, but to me comes across as a control center for a telephone operator who is about to leave the building to chase the bus.

A lot of meowing from a cat can be heard in the next work. There is a more chilled out beat that goes backwards and forwards. The title is suggesting that the cat is being disturbed by someone’s music but even though the high frequency used in this track; the cat seemed to rather enjoy it than complain.

'An Accident Waiting To Happen’ is being occupied by very high frequency and strange bird like electronics all stamped together. It’s like a concert of dog whistles listened while being under the influence of a Lewis Carroll story.

A fabulous piece is ‘Yer Still Paradise’ which is like a mix n match that sounds like a sorbet made out of Irish folk, robot bleeps and alien hip-hop straight recorded from a farm. It has the beat that moves like a steady train that is close to its destination.

'You Wanna Get Wasted?' is an Industrial punk plunderphonic extravaganza is up next in which it comes across as everyone gets a piece of lead between the eyes or simply get beaten up by attitude.

Than the album moves itself the closest to breakcore but it also might be called mental core in this case. Whatever the core it’s pretty mental. Breaks and experimental stuff that gives our brains the advice to stay in the skull.

Before turning to the lengthy title track of the album a little bright piece called 'Pabst Blue Ribbon!' It features vocal samples that makes this track a bit punk although music wise I would say that it’s the friendliest sounding tune on the release. It must be the happy rattling melodic weirdness that is responsible.

The last track ‘Elevator Music’ is one lengthy piece that seemingly brings back all the previously heard tunes but than in reverse. It’s like rewinding the tape slowly to stroll down the ears down the short term memory lane. Pretty insane!
